how many days does it take to get hooked on an opiate

I am in Mexico taking buprenorfine, but i have to admit i doubled the does cause it kind of only until after i did that,, since the names here diffirent for drugs i just looked it up to find out it is an opiate, i have been doinga double dose for 3 days, should i be scared?

Brad.. Few people come to an addiction website unless they know they have a problem, or suspect something is wrong..

It only takes seven days of straight use for your body to become physically addicted to an opiate.  Why are you taking bup?  Are you taking that to get off other meds?  You say you doubled the dose,  what was the dose in the first place?  We are all here to help you but I think we will need a little more info.
