Hi all! Miss you guys. Haven't been on for awhile. I myself am doing great. Was addicted to pain killers for quite some time. Ruined my life and my finances. Down to 1/2 pill/day Subs. Feel like I am getting closer to being totally drug free. I just wanted to come on and make a note. Some of you know my sister had brain surgery back in the spring. She was on powerful pain killers after that. I opened up at that time and told her what those pills did to me and how they ruined my life. I urged her to only take one if she really needed it. Well, she did great. Now, just last week she had to have major back surgery. They sent her home with 60 vicodens, 60 of something else (i forget) and 60 tylox. I, again warned her. Been there done that. Please only take a pill when you absolutely need it. She was on morphine in hospital too. She has a pain killer gold mine over there and I just remind her everyday of what I went thru and how easy it is to get addicted. Of course , her surgeon did not inform her that what he gave her is highly addictive. That's what pisses me off. Anyway, I am trying to help her get thru this and have warned her of the consequences of being on the pain killers even for just 2 or 3 weeks. I guess my point is that they sent her home with 3 different powerful pain killers and did not say anything about the addiction aspect of it. And this is exactly what happened to me and many of you. We were never told.........
