What am I missing by self rehabbing

I am pretty shy, terrible self conscious and afraid to leave my mom at home. So I am trying to self rehab.  I know it's a tough road.  

But my question is this.. Aside from the professional and peer support (group) at a rehab center, what else am I missing? Do they prescribe any medication to help through the wd? Anyone have a brief outline of what I could do to mimic an inpatient rehab?

I went to a 28 day rehab and they treated me with librium 10mg which is used for anxiety and that definitely helped take a little of the edge off not to mention the chills. I was allowed to take ibuprofen which helped the fever and vitamins.  Besides the medication they give you rehab allows you the time to realize your addiction and be concerned with only you. I know it ***** leaving your mom at home however you have to come first and be helped or you will be no good to your mother.. I know this becaue i have 3 kids and a loving husband and i could not stay clean for them!! I had to literally go to rehab and shut myself away from the world and just concentrate on my addiction and how i was going to overcome it. Rehab gives you the chance to in a way start over and fiind yourself again. good luck
