Well I screwed up!!!

So I was on day 5 or 6, can't remember, anyway I got some hydrocodone and I took them. I didn't take too many, but I did take them. I am on day 3 again of no pills. I physically do not feel bad at all. No withdrawals at all. Just the mental of wanting that good feeling. How in the hell am I ever going to get past that?  They just make me feel ok. I just want to feel ok. But I don't if I am not on pills. Hope this makes sence?  Just lost!! I feel awful that I came on here wanting help and I fell right back into the pills. Just don't understand why!!

I dont think you failed or " screwed up" by any means. Many of the people in this online community have done the same thing as you...I know I have! The good thing is your being honest and posting about it. As other people have suggested after-care is very helpfull for us addicts. Take it easy on yourself..keep fighting!! trev

great reply rush2112
my advice is to try to change that bad habit into a good habit.  become a health fanatic or go for sculpting your body.  anything other than pills.  if you fall, just get back up and keep going.  flush what you have left because they will talk you into taking them.

yup admitting there is a problem is the first step to recovery...

I just wanted to point out that there is nothing unusual about you in this regard...and if/when you fail...look at it as temporary and move forward...

i look at life like i do driving a car...we watch out the windshield, not the rearview mirror...you only glance in the rearview and take stock at what's behind you, but life, as the road, is always in front...for what that is worth

Thank you for your response. I know relapse is normal. Sure doesn't make it any easier. The only thing different in me though is that I know I have a problem and I want to fix it. That is a hudge step with me.

You will be better with time away from the drug, but you gotta put the time and work in...
I will start a new thread on here to help you about relapse...
