I am new here and would like some friends ,  i abuse narcotics and just need to talk to others that know what its like

as scared said..a daily dose helps alot as far as people reading and sharing their experiencs.....r u still hitting the meetings..it is so  easy to trade alcohol for pills or vice versa...happens all the time...smoking also ties  in as  it affects 3 receptor sites making it tough to let go of and some say it is harder to stop than narcotics..everyone is dfferent

and u r right...no one who is not an addict understands addiction...many r in denial and never admit they have aproblem..this forum is wonderful for u right now..let us know ur plan and we can help..also, i would skim thru the health pages and learn..lots of good info there

Welcome, you have come to the right place, we are here to help you. How much percocets and vicodins were you taking? You have the willpower to quit, you quit drinking so you can do this if you choose to. check out the thomas recipe and amino acid protocol at the bottom right of the page. plan on having the flu for a week, the worst days are 3 - 5, but it is doable. post and keep posting, read other threads. There are other who have been where you are or are there now. take it one day at a time, hot baths, bananas (for rls), gatorade or poweraid and exercise when you can. take care and stay in touch. you can do this, I beleive in you.

I am 44 yrs old been using narcotics for over 1 yrs. I am a recovering alcoholic and wen i quit drinking , i went to narcotics, vics and percocets. Been  in detox 2 times and withdrawals are horrible, but i cant seem to stop.Ya know? How are you? Thanks for the reply  so quickly.Lisa
