Oh boy

After taking percocet legitimately off and on over the last few years...I have really become hooked this time.  When I saw my Dr. a month ago he prescribed me 10mg 3x a day which didnt help the pain because I had previously been taking double that.  Anyways...I recently found someone that will give me 30mg roxi's and I have gotten to where I take like 5 of those per day.  I want to tell my dr. to give me stuff to help my withdrawals since that is the main reason I just cant quit...the withdrawals are HELL...but in order for him to really help me out he has to know what I am taking and how much and if I am honest with him will he call the cops or DEA on me or something?  I just want to be honest or my withdrawals might not seem that big of a deal to him.  If I say I get pills not prescribed to me wont he not want to prescibe me anything to help withdrawals cuz he will just think I want a different type of drug?

Remove the word can't from your vocabulary. Your state of mind and self talk must be CAN. Pray to God for the strength that you do not have. What you can not do God CAN. And read on and on ..... you will see that you are not alone and it is of the utmost importance that you put an end to it now not later. Everything gets worse if you don't. I'm begging you to be smart and have faith! You know its a problem right? if not, what drew you here?

You can go to another doctor that deals in addiction...look up a taper schedule for percs and try to taper on your own.  Research withdrawal and find the various ways to get through it.  You can do it and I doubt your doctor will report you he is there to help but he may refuse to give you anymore meds as he now will know you are abusing them.

I've tried to taper on my own and I just can't.  If I have pills and I need them, I will take them...I don't care what the script is.

There is not really anything you can do but stop and use the Thomas recipe and use a steam room or hot tub and get it out of you. You are lucky to have caught on to this before you switched to stronger stuff. If you get it out now you will suffer so much less than if you drag it out any longer. You are in the best position just being on the percs to stop. The longer you wait the worse it is.Doubt the Dr. would call on you. After all he is involved with your addiction. He may suggest a taper. There is a lot of info in the "Health Pages" bottom right of this site. after you read all that you may get inspired! And expect to feel kinda crappy for a couple of weeks. There's no getting around it. But do all the suggestions on aminos and vitamins etc. Foods/water don't skip a thing and it will really help as much as anything can. Protein shakes. You wouldn't be here if it wasn't time to give it all you got!
