When will my stomach feel better?? I ugg

Finally kicked the yr long Percocet addiction. Hell - this is the first time I've said addiction. I didn't want the two 10mg to turn Into 30 or 40mg. Anywho... I'm on day 9. I went through the HELL of restless
Leg and insomnia. I'm not sure if I still have it or the Nightzzz finally is helping me sleep. I'm following the Thomas Recipe and again it could be placebo effect but it seems to be working ... Minus feeling like I'm going to throw up after every meal - with an already limited appetite. The thing is - I took them only to slow me down. To relax. Never enough to get "high" or numb. Just enough to take the edge off. Then it seemed as if I didn't take one or half of one my stomach would get upset ... So I did. I've read so many stories about relapse simply to go back to sleep for a night or make that restless leg to stop - but to make the stomach stop hurting... Dunno about that. Imodium AD seemed to help with the associated diarrhea but not the nausea.

Thanks for listening. I've spent the last 9 days reading others - so I figured it was time to chime in.

Congrats on Day 9!!!  That is a huge accomplishment!!!  I too had nausea for about a month after I quit.  It is annoying but it will pass!!!  That and the energy were the worst of my lingering symptoms!  I took an anti nausea med off the shelf at CVS when it got really annoying and that helped a bit!  Just keep reminding yourself that this too shall pass!!  Keep hanging in!  You are doing a great job!!!

Hi! Lemme tell you how LUCKY and SMART you are for stopping now. Our addictions usually lasts several years, decades for some. Not to downgrade your accomplishment (which is great) but we all started taking them to "take the edge off." The fact that we took them in order to not deal w/ reality is the core issue. I can't suggest enough looking into that. Keep posting:)

Have you tried gravol? It's a anti nausea med you can get otc. I know exactly what your talking about. It took my almost a month for that queasy feeling to subside after I ate. I lost a lot of weight the last few months since I quit because my stomach shrank. I just munch on small things through the day right now, mixed nuts. Lots of fruit. Yogurt cups. Then I eat a light meal. But that first month the gravol helped me a lot! Btw CONGRATS on 9 days!! Wahoo!! :))
