Withdrawls or Getting sick. pls HELP!

Ok, I am in desperate need of help. I am 5wks and 2 days clean. I haven't taken anything this whole time, no Suboxone, or any narcotic. I did have bad withdrawls for the first 5 days and then things kept getting better. I felt like life was great again and could do things as if I never took any pill in my life. Since Friday I have had rls, upset stomach, and just feeling crappy. My legs are so bad that I didn't get to sleep until 4:30am last night. Then I noticed that in school the other day I could not sit still my legs were just hurting. I have heard of people getting rls and I started a new medication for it ( non narcotic) but I don't know when it's suppose to start working. Is it rls because my stomach has been very upset too. I feel like I am back in hell again and ready to use.

Thank you all,

Jess

I’ve been on pain meds on and off for the last 3 years, but this recent injury was the most severe one I’ve experienced.
Couple of weeks ago I decided that my back was finally healed enough to get off the 20 Norcos a day habit.  My use wasn't as much for pain as it was to just feel right, so I quite cold turkey.  The w/d's were bad, but that I handle well enough.  I was doing okay until the third day.  The twitching and shaking of my legs was unbearable.  I couldn't lie down...ate tons of banana and pop more the daily recommend dosage for Potassium.  Ran and ran until my legs were about to fall off.  I even tried drinking.  Nothing seemed to work.  Because of the RLS, I started using again.
Tired of popping pills just to sleep through the night, I finally had to go see my doctor about it.  He gave me a trial package of Requip, and I had a friend give me some Suboxone to handle my w/d's.
With Memorial Day coming up this weekend, I figure this is the best time to get off the hyrdocodone.  My question is, will the Suboxone counter the Requip's effect?  I'm afraid to ask my doctor because he will think that I have an addiction or question where I got the Suboxone.  I heard that once a doctor prescribed Suboxone, it will be nearly impossible to ever get an Rx again if I need it for actual pain.  The way I live and play, eventually I will hurt myself again, and I do not want to be cut off in the future.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and it's unfortunate that y'all went through the same issues  as I am, but I find comfort in the fact that there is support out there for our problem.

Thank you all again for your support. I am trying not to think to much of it. Right now I have strep and an earinfection so I am on antibiotics and I turned down the vicodin they wanted to give me. I was very proud of myself, I just told the Doctor that the Ib600 will work just fine for me.

It's 5wks 3days and I am NOT turning back.

Luv,

Jess

Don't scare yourself by dwelling too much on future symptoms, etc.  What you're going through is actually normal, and I know it's horrible.  My legs used to flop around like fish at night.  The Neurontin should help.  What is the new med you've just started for RLS?  Congrats on being clean for over 5 weeks.  That is quite an accomplishment, and you certainly wouldn't want to start using again and have gone thru all that hell for nothing.  I know what you're saying:  you're smart enough to not start using again but you are really pulled in that direction because of the pain.  Hang in there.  We'll help you.

I agree with sadinmichigan. After stopping for a few weeks I came down with the flu.
I also like what puranx said about not reading to much into it.  5 weeks and 2 days is good so don't turn back now. Hope you feel better.

dont read into paws to much, all it does is cause more anxiety, you could just flat be getting sick, depressed, stressed had a bad day...walk it off. Trust me on this, thats life throwing you lemons....make lemonade. And ya it sounds like some paws since your craving a pill, sounds like to me your still craving them. Get it out of your head and move on with it. They will subside. You got this far...im so jealous and proud. Dont give in.

It really does sound like PAWS..I am thinking that is what my problem is too..I was on methadone awhile back etc..Give that med some time to work..Like i mentioned earlier.my husband takes Requip and it helps him alot.he has rls really bad..So if what your taking doesn't start helping you could ask your dr. about that..i am rooting for you..We are all in this to some extent together..keep posting. this has been a wonderful forum for me..You are in my prayers.

Thank you so much for your advice. I know this is only day 1 on this new medication but I feel weak and my thoughts are cloudy ( if that makes sence). Also I will go check out the info on PAWS and prepare myself for whats coming.

Thank you,

Jess

Yes, Garbapentin (Neurontin) can be used for RLS.  I tried it for pain way back when.  It did not help me and it messed me up while I was on it, but I did not have RLS, so diff story here.  It really sounds like PAWS to me, that you're going through.  I just reached 90 days on Sat., and I'm going through it.... reading about it suggests it can last for a long time...there is info. about it at the bottom right of your screen in the Health Pages..  It's a bit scary to know how long it can last, but at the same time gives a bit of piece that you haven't lost your mind or something...  I'd be lying to say I have not been struggling, or under any delusion that I'm cool now, BUT I am resting in the knowledge that this too shall pass.....  I wish you strength, comfort, and support.... - Jacqui

Did you have it for two months straight or two months ago it came back? How long does PAWS last for?

Thank you all for your kind words. I just hope this gets better. I don't want to use again but feeling the way I am it's like why not?. Just to let you all know that I wont use but a part of me is telling me to. Maybe someone can answer this (sadinmichigan or anyone) I am taking Gabapentin 300mg. Have anyone used that before or know anyone that has used it for rls? It's normally for other things but the pharmacist said it can be used for that. I just feel like I am going to die, maybe it is PAWS. I love you all and know I can get past this.

Thank you all again,

Jess

hang in there..I don't know why we get these sudden problems after we have been clean for a time but it seems to happen alot..if it's not that..it's depression etc..I still can't sleep good after 47days. it will get better though..everyday. my husband takes a rx called Requip for his rls..i used to take elavil..it is also hereditary..My parents both have it. it's weird..i haven't had to deal with that since i quit. i am so glad because that is a horrible feeling. Don't resort to using again..Please..
