at thought on recovery

Hey,
I am a recovered/recovering opiate addict, like the majority of you.  I have been clean for around six months but I still read posts on here and i have some advice to those starting their detox.

I have recently joined a gym and do love to work out.  I don't think I could have worked out whilst in recover for the first few days, but if you can, please do...the benefits would be amazing for your recovery...when you sweat you pump out your toxins faster...and you push more water while sweating etc...
If you can't work out, but have a gym membership you can...go take a sauna!  I usually sauna after my workout and find it to be very relaxing and beneficial...if you have access to a sauna (not steam, a dry sauna) it might not be such a bad idea to go take one...I began reading the benefits of the dry sauna and low and behold i found connections to drug detoxes...there even professional detox clinics that use the sauna as part of there therapy...
I wish i had thought of this while detoxing, but I did not...but i have to figure that the more we sweat, the faster the drugs are gone and the healing begins...

good luck

don't wait, go twice!

sleep is the last thing to heal, or it was for me...so frustrating...

I did find that I went and got the sleep aides like melatonin and valerian...they didin't really help and i thing the Valerian extended my incontinence...for those interested...when i stopped taking valerian root, i went to the bathroom normal right away...just be careful with that stuff too...

yes, i also know that if you do it in the later evening, soon before bed, it can help with sleep issues...
from what i have read the infrared sauna is even better than just heat, but I don't have access...just a nice electric hot as hell sauna is what i do...
