day 1 of no methadone....

Well I tapered down to 5 ml then was gonna drop off but didn't through to circumstances, anyway got to 4 the the drop from 4 to 3 although was fine I noticed that I didn't stabilise so then dropped to 2 (every monday did a drop) anyway its thursday and I thought f*ck it what's the point, what was happening is: I take my meth at 6am then by 3 feeling it now when I say feeling it I mean its nothing, maybe odd stomach cramp and tired. Have not lost any sleep. Anyway I took all my excess meth to chemist this morning and I still feel fine, my hormones are raging a bit, and I feel like I'm waiting for something to happen.... But feel good at min, so far its not like a heroin rattle at all its not even like a bad cold, just been tired out no energy. But right now I feel fab, I'm aware that could change later and at day 3 when the half life comes out..... But feeling good!  Xx

HI My experence with methadine is it usually sets in about 3 days later the withdrawals are typically 7 days but its not so much the withdrawal that makes methadone hare dot get off of but the post withdrawal theres an energy crash that is debilitating that coupled with no sleep can make you miserable just know you got to be in this for the long haul and you got to want it bad methadone is a monster to kick but it is doable its just not like the pills where it over in a week ot 2 methadone detox takes a few months to get over it I wish I had better news
right now we do have a girl in the forum that seams to be beeting the odds but shew is an acceptation to the rule for me the first mo I Was dope sick the second month kinda layed in limbo it was around 90 days that I started to come out from under it spell just take it one day at a time try your best to stay positive attitude is everything and just know this drug is cyclic just when you think its over BAM your down again this will be one of the best moves of your life I encourage you to go threw with it because when you get to the end....however long that takes it is so so worth it you will have concurred a monster keep posting for support there are many members who have made it off this stuff some will come along and offer advise good luck and God bless......Gnarly
