Have you given all the natural ideas a shot, melatonin, sleep tea, OTC etc??? In my case ambien has gave me 6-7 hours each night,But I cannot stress enough you would have to be upfront with a psychiatrist about your addiction and given maybe just a few days to regulate

I am not sure of what you are detoxing from but the anxiety and sleepless is part of the withdrawal. I used to get 15  minutes of sleep and then the anxiety would kick in. My doctor gave me Diazipam (5mg) for the anxiety and I was directed to only take 1/2 pill as needed. This did help but the vitamins and hydration is also a factor. Little exercise helps to get the endorphins into kicking mode. Melatonin and teas help but be patient while your body is cleaning itself out. the anxiety will subside over time. Remember, these drugs take a strong control over your body and mind. Your body is 'adjusting' and kicking in the endorphins will help. Read up on what endorphins do and how they help your body and mind think a little clearer once you are detoxing. I KNOW this is a rough road to go down but you have made the decision to do this and stay the course. I know when I looked in the mirror and saw what the fentanyl and morphine were doing to me, it scared the hell out of me and that was my determination. I was down to 108 pounds and these drugs were killing me. Fear is what worked for me and kept me focused. It has not been over a month since I kicked the fentanyl and morphine cold turkey and my weight has gone up to 122 pounds at present. My energy level is better, my thinking is clearer and I once again have control and not the drugs. The anxiety has subsided to nothing and I am sleeping better now. I found Gabapentin/Neurontin which I take for nerve damage but stopped taking this medication because I did not think it was doing any good but went back on this medication and it helped. Ask your doctor about what medications you can take to help you through this and if you do not trust his/her answer, find another doctor who is willing to listen. You may need something for the anxiety but ask around and find out what others are doing to help in this process. Keep yourself focused on what you have to do to get through this process. it has got to be done for your body to heal. Yes it takes time but you have got to invest the time to do this.
I know it is annoying to go through this process. Yes there are side effects in cleaning your body out of what these drug do. You have got to stay the course and understand about taking back the control you need to get through this. It takes a strong mind to attempt this but it can be done and there is support out there for you to get through this process. Stay tuned to people who have gone through this. It does get better but there is a lot you body need to go through to clean itself out and you have got to keep the focus and determination to do this. It will get better but you have got to ride the course and you will see improvement over time. Take a look at the accomplishments you have done to get through this process. I know this is a rough road to go down. I understand what you are experiencing. Yes it is rough, but it can be done and you have the strength to do this by just recognizing that you want to detox. Now keep that focus and build up your strength to keep this focus. Just remember how much control these drugs have over your daily life and recognize that you want to take back the control of your life, thinking and living. Stay strong and focused because there are people out there that are willing to help and you are not alone. Take back the life you once had and enjoyed. We are all here for you and can help in any way we can. We are not doctors only people who have experienced withdrawal and detoxing. We can teach the medical community a thing or two and that is a good focus to start. What ever it takes to get you through this process and there are people out there to help so stay informed and remember, this can be done by you when you have the strength to take control back again.
