drug dreams

to everyone out there clean or trying to get clean, did u guys have crazy dreams where u used? I had them everynight the first week i was getting clean from oxycontin, where i would be getting them or have them on me or doing them. I havent had one in awhile but about a week ago i had another and it was so freaking real. I remember doing in my dream what I would always do in real life when i had the pills, which is putting them in my pocket (while at work or in an inappropriate place to use) and feeling the outside of my pocket every couple of minutes for the shape of the pill, to reassure myself they were still there and i would be getting high soon. Crazy.....lemme know ur stories

I have had similar dreams to your, in my case we would be sitting in the car going to get them and then we would sniff them in the car way home back to our apartment which is what we would really do. They were so real it freaked me out, it made me crave them so bad but you just have to fight the erge. But i def. know where you are coming from with the freaky dreams, I also had problems with vivid dreams like nightmares that my boyfriend would get introuble with the cops bc of using. Id imagin its a part of the detox process! But congrats on being clean!! :)

Drug dreams are very common in early recovery and i had them for well over a month non stop. Dreams so real i woke up thinking I had relapsed. They will diminish with time, but I still have the odd one. I used to dream my pockets were filled with cocaine and I was always running away from somone scared to death, i didnt' want them taking my coke, lol. I also saw my dealers in my dreams a lot, so many weird ones. It is part of recovery, but can be very freaky.

I'm currently doing a taper down process and along with the night sweats having been having strange dreams. The first I had when I was pregnant 5 years ago, In my dream I'd layed my new baby down next to the bath while drawing the water. I left the baby on the floor to go get a towel and when I came back he was gone, I ran frantically from room to room looking for my baby asking everyone if they'd picked up the baby. They all told me there was never a baby.....at that time I woke up still pregnant. SO I've been having the lost the baby dream again......and the other is a dream that there's a man standing in my closet comes out and tries to talk to me but I can never hear what he's saying....I have that one most commonly when I'm sick . It's a one of those in and out of dreams that you can't really wake from.
