Do you just go with the withdrawal symptoms

AGAIN, I'm trying to find a way to deal with this without going back.

I know I have many more days to go. I want to do this. Every time a thought pops into my head about relieving this NOW, I stop it with something else that means freedom from this.

Getting through the next several days will be so hard. I am SO scared, but trying just to focus on one minute at time. I have cleared my schedule and just will do what my body is going to do. Did any of you try to sleep through the first few days?

I'm drinking a ton of water and taking the anti nausea zofran helps keep everything down. I find that as long as I can force myself to eat and drink water, it actually goes better. Has anyone else discovered this?

I'm sorry for a double post. Just really scared and really wanting off these nightmares.

I know it's going to get worse before it gets better. I'm hyper by nature and hate sitting around, but I wonder if sleep is not the best option. I find that when I get up and move around, my legs really hurt, but at the same time, I feel better too. Weird. The gut stuff and anxiety is what I am concerned about the most, keeping my bp stable.

My doc does not know I'm doing this. I want to get off of these things and be free before my next appt. I have to go anyway because of my bp stuff and refilling other meds, NOT narcotics. I also need to see a cardiologist now too for a possible arrythmia issue, otherwise I am healthy. I have  autoimmune and it has caused a lot of pain, along with meno, but I just found out that my labs are all stable. Since my metabolism is stable with thyroid med, I figured now is the BEST time to get off the meds because my body will be able to handle the shock better. I hope that logic is correct! Ugh!

I'm determined.

Sleep while you can. I slept solid for the first 2 days. I'm glad I did, I needed to rest to deal with the coming withdrawal. Try to keep moving around while you are awake. Even laps in the house will help. Vitamins, minerals, and amino acids help a lot also. Get a protein drink, like ensure, muscle milk, or spiru-tein, for when it get difficult to get enough nutrition. The water helps a lot, but try not to just sit and think. I found writing my thoughts and posting here helped get me out of my head. Time is your friend for now, just remember why you want to quit and don't think of pills as an option. This will be a short time, when you look back on it. So many good things will come from sticking to your guns on this one. You can do this, you are on your way to freedom. Keep posting for support and advice.

I responded to your other post but Ill respond to this one too. Your going to have that thought about relieving it "NOW" for a while. Your in the first 24 hours of detox..its going to get worse before it gets better. you have to stay the course though. Sleeping is going to be difficult for a while but if you try and stay somewhat busy, your mind wont be on the pain so much. Ive been in your shoes many times and am speaking from experience. Just st ay the course.
