As those above me said, Vicodin w/d's are a walk in the park compared to Methadone & Suboxone. The half-life of the 2 of those is much, much longer than that of Vicodin, so the Vicodin leaves your system and dissipates much more quickly.
Best of luck in your detox & recover. I look forward to hearing more from you as the days progress.

I have experienced WDs from both vicoden and methadone and there is no comparison, methadone is a much tougher customer, who shops much longer in your system. I do not understand the part about 2000 mg? Of what, vicoden? And exactly what maintenance program are you presently on and trying to get off....the vicoden may mask some of the effects, but in the big picture you are just delaying what the inevitable. There are quite a few people here who beat both of them and you can to. The more details you provide the more detailed the responses will be geared toward your situation.
I wish you the best with your recovery and keep posting.
Vicoden wd's would be a cake walk compared to sub's or methadone wd's..I'm not saying there is nothing to fear with vicoden wd's as even though they are less severe, they are still very unpleasant. The big difference will be the number of days you will be dealing with wd's. Subs and methadone take alot of tapering and drag out the wd process..
Yes, you can go to work but I imagine you will be able to claim that you've had better days by the time you get home later..Just try to keep busy and not get caught up in the broken record in your head saying "I feel like cr^p. I feel like cr^p"..
After about 4 days you should recover relatively quickly as each progressing day passes..And the thoughts of usage will become farther and farther away till one day you will all of the sudden realize that you really haven't been thinking about them..:) Best of luck with this.
