yes, it works but it doesn't mask ALL the w/d symptoms and you will also experience w/d from the suboxone when you stop that. You should ask your doctor for a specific time table for starting and stopping the suboxone. My doctor kept me on it for 5 or 6 months. Now that I finally stopped it after tapering down to one quarter of a tablet, I am going through almost the same w/d that I did the first time I quit norco cold turkey. I don't have the violent eliminations, but I have the same pain, restless nights, nausea and headache. It's great that you are going to stop the norco, just be prepared and know it gets better every day if you don't prolong it. Make your doctor tell you what to expect. My doc has me on a bunch of supplements, a clonodine patch and I take zanaflex to help with the spasms, along with the suboxone.
i also did not do sub, but have heard very good things about it when used short term...your intake is not very high, so please do it now, i would try a taper and just c/t....
I am almost 5 months clean from 15 10mg hydros a day, i did a quick taper , not a good one, and went c/t, think of it as a bad flu, read alot of post and post alot, it will help
get your life back

So ace - 379 kills is pretty impressive. Maybe a record!
Sub would help a Norco thing - and yours is a long term use. But its not as bad as many that knock of 15-20 pills a time several times a day. Owing to that I would think that you could taper the sub down reasonably fast enough to just stop it and put up with some discomfort and get it done. Others have more experience with sub and may suggest a very short term period of therapy involving it. But regardless if you do the sub you will haqve another addiction after a certain period of using it. Dont even think about methadone in your case.
