How are you doing today?
If you're having gallbladder trouble (stones), pancreatitis is a symptom and amylase levels are elevated. It can be pretty painful and not necessarily caused by opiate abuse in the past.
Check in with me,okay? You know I worry....
I'm PMing you now. So glad you went to the ER!
i ended up going to er, as i took temp and had low fever , called back doc. she said go, they did alot of tests said labs good but somthin about pancreas, raised a little bit, i was very uncomfortable, while there, and told them my opiate situation so i cant remember if it was enzyme or not, have to go to gi, so will as soon as i can.
it hurts at belly button stabbing pain last night which is new , usually it cramps, it sure is different dealing with this w/out using, i mean i am not as uptight or iratioanal but feel all the pain, ouch, am up now but its not as bad as it was last night, they said to eat bland diet, which i hav been.
thanks for everyone's concern, snake maybe i could message u if and answer u more specifically, u seem to maybe know somthing about gi probs?let me know if u can.
Hey there! Congrats! I'm glad you talked to a doc. That was a good idea to call the doc on call. It gives your mind some peace anyway. I hope it lets up soon for you! : )
Welcome back! I am so sorry that your guts are giving you grief right now. Can you tell me where it hurts? Is it high up under your ribcage, or is it down low--your belly button or lower? Have your bowels been moving regularly? Any difficulty urinating, or do you note any blood in the urine? Is the pain more to one side than the other? Are you vomiting? Are your stomach/lower guts growling or making other noises? Does your pain coincide with just after a meal? When did these pains start, and did you have them before you abused opiates? Sorry for all the questions. While I cannot diagnose you formally, I can make a few guesses if you can answer them. Of course, you need to see a GI specialist---tell them your symptoms and that you need to see the doctor urgently. The opiates you've been taking can mask an ongoing condition, or it could be the pendulum swinging to overactive GI system from withdrawal.
Please tell us what the GI doctor says--we care here at the forum, and I won't rest well until you report! ;-)

thanks u guys. i got a doctor on call and they told me what to look for and to reschedule with GI ,, and to try heat to loosen ab muscles.so i am trying that and will just take it easy, this wknd.unless i see wat they say.
thanks and have a good wknd everyone!
It's hard to say whether you need the ER or not.
You definitely need some lab work and a few tests. There's no telling what this may be. Opiates cover up a lot of conditions. You may have an infected/inflamed gall bladder for example; that pain is very severe...
Are you passing any blood? That's something that needs to be checked ASAP.
Try to get to see the GI doctor as soon as possible and stick with that soft diet until then. Stay away from the OTC pain relievers for now, also.
I'm sorry this is happening to you but I'm sure proud you've made it to 13 days!! xoxo
OTF-No More. Congratulations on 13 days !! where exactly does it hurt ? It sounds like stress effects how much it hurts. It is Not normal to have pain this bad as far out as you are.. I say go to the hospital.. Has eating the soft food helped any with the pain ? Hopefully someone will be along that this sounds familiar to them. The only pain I have had is my liver when I get a flare that hurts like double over hurt. I will send a pray that this eases and that they find what it is to help ease your worry.. warm hugs. lesa
