As an heroin addict over 2 months clean. This is not your fault he will only stop when he is ready to do so. Im affraid to say you can not make him stop, he has to want that for himself. HI im sorry to here it dident work out I know you put a lot of planing into it...he will come around when he is ready this is nothing you can do for him he's got to want it for himself
and he's got to want it bad....I know this is stressful for you right now but stay true to yourself right now you need to guard your sobriety and not let this bring you down
stay strong I know your trying everything to bring him around  and I know he is close
to coming around just give him some space from your previous conversations you know he is geting there ...you never know he might come back give him a chance

It has nothing to do with whether you were strong enouh for him or not .He has to want to stop for himself .He is not ready if he left .you have to take care of you for right now .Hopefully he will relize he needs help soon . hang in there .
