Is appetite suppression normal during opiate withdrawl?

So i have a few medical issues to begin with - 2 autoimmune diseases - UC/IBD and RA.

I have 4 DAYS clean after weening myself off of heroin, down to rocacets, then perks, then vikes, then nothing.

I've done NA years ago before relapsing and don't really feel like I'm a "12 step kinda person," it is sort of cult-ish to me.

Anyway, mornings are my worst time of day as I always wake up with severe anxiety (also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder since childhood) and it's difficult to find clean people that are awake at 6AM EST (US) so I've come here, seeking help, advice, support, and encouragement.

HELP PLEASE!

Let fear be your motivator. Do you want back on the H or to be clean? Do whatever it takes.

My first time in NA was for cocaine, this time is for heroin.  So i can't really compare the detox / withdrawl symptoms.  I really need some serious support though i can tell you that!

Thank you for your reply so quickly

You say that you have gone through this before? If so, did your appetite decrease then? It is normal during the withdrawal stage but everyone is different.

I hope you find a relapse prevention group that suits you so you can "stay" clean. Best of luck!
