Your doing great Jimmy!! Keep on running....Exercise is so important. sara
Jimmy,
You might also try some meditation. I know it sounds yuppy, but it will teach you to calm the anxiety when you do not have the option to go for a run. It's as easy as finding a quiet spot and closing your eyes. Just follow your deep breathes and quiet the mind. Pay no attention to any thoughts that arise, just let them pass and focus on the breathing. You can scan your body from head to toe really slowly and relax each muscle as you arrive at it. You can't do it wrong as long as you are paying attention to right now, nothing more.
This is an amazing way to introduce a new dimension into your life and manage anxiety. Only takes 10 minutes to get real benefits.
Hope it helps. Matt
Good for you Jimmy. I been exercising on the advice of someone on this forum and it has been a life saver. It helps EVERY symptom. Now I give that advice all the time.
Sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up and keep on posting. I was off the site for a few days and found that the lack of support makes me feel a little lonely in this struggle.
Really happy for you! You are gonna make it.
Matt
Hey Bud, You're doing great buddy. Anxiety is always the last thing to leave me when I have withdrawals. It is completely manageable and almost nonexistent now. It will get better for you, too. Just keep exercising and outrun the anxiety!
