Im pretty determined to stop but worried how much longer I have to feel this horrible and how can I prevent myself from going back "mentaly" once the addiction is gone? PLEASE HELP ME. IM DESPERATE.

Well, I have to say that I am living proof THINGS GET BETTER. STICK WITH IT!!! Im on day 5-6, didnt think I would make it through yesterday, especially last night, but here I am feeling almost back to my old self. Not much energy, but little w/d symptoms. I feel for you with a 3yr old. I have a 9mo old, but fortunately my husband has been able to take over 100% for me....so you are totally in my thoughts and prayers. You arent alone and YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! I consider myself a weak person, but so far....determined...which means KEEP GOING...IT WILL GET BETTER!!! The note that hydrofusion left earlier really kept me on track. If he could do it....so could I. If I could do it...so can you!!!!! keep me posted!!!

For sleep, ask your doctor for lunesta or ambien.  Those will put you to sleep guaranteed, and do be afraid to tell him why you are requesting it.  Doctors are there to help.  And keep telling yourself this pain and horrible feeling WILL pass.  It doesn't stay like this forever, I promise.

The first five to seven days are the worst .Then things get better daily .I am going to give you a suggestion if you really plan on doing this flush any left over pills ,I know your mouth probably just hit the floor but when you have them around it makes it very hard to stick with .When you don't have any you cant take any .
Are you on any supplemts there are some that help. For the aches and pains I used an eletric blanket. It helped my rls as well I wraped my whole body in it .You are doing sooooooo good keep it up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

If you keep taking them how are you going to get off of them ... Push threw it and it will be better in a few days taking them even at night is just going to prolong it .

Is it bad to take a lortab to go to sleep and stop the restless leg syndrome for a few days, or to just stop completely? I feel like im going to lose my mind.

Hi,

The physical part lasts about 5 days usually. You did a fast taper which was pretty much like stopping cold turkey. Just drink lots of gatorade, take vitamins and aleve or ibuprofen for the ache and pains and just let your body heal.

There is a lot of helpful info in the Health Pages, like the amino acid protocol and Thomas recipe.

good luck,
Melissa
