If u have plenty of pills to taper with...type out a taper that u can live with and print it...put it on ur kitchen counter...make it like 4-5 even 6 small doses...try not to take more than 1.5-2 pills at a time and go down from there...in other words....1.5 mg 6 x a day is better that is better much better than 5 pills in the morning and 4 pills that night even tho it is 9 pills either way...it will make wd easier for u...good luck and hang in there
I was currently taking 10 -12 1o mg norco a day. I have cut it down to six the past two days. It is so hard. But I have not taken anymore yet today
I also agree. you are going way too fast. That is not a taper. At that rate you are just as well to go c/t I think.
So I suggest as many have, to slow the taper if you have the supply!
i agree with r2r,rose,worried,mimi& the eagle you are try to much to fast! set your self up with a tapering sceduale just post an ask someone can help you get that going if thats the way you choice or just bite the bullet like i did after many failed attempts to taper. the taper just didnt work for me, i was snorting percs for over 4 yrs. 20plus a day habit! i just stopped on april 18,2008 i just did my bait of them the weekend before and said this is it! no more! medhelp and the friends i have found her on this forum saved my life im so serious about that! let us know if we can help, buy the way what is it you are trying to kick? how many have you been doing, and for how long and what mg? let us help if we can! take care becareful and slow down! let us know? sincerly sherri 38days clean!!!!!
The idea of a taper is to let your body adjust to reduced dose before you reduce again. This takes days or a week - it sounds like you are in too much of a hurry - you can always cold turkey and get it over with fast and nasty....
You can definitely do this. I tapered and I did it. Just stay strong and try to space the pills out as far as you can. And I agree with R2R and Rose703. Let your body adjust to one dose and then decrease it. It will be much easier that way.
Good luck!!

Having a positive attitude helps...tapering is hard....i did a quick ten day taper...i would have rather done ct but needed to wait for time off...i cheated the whole time...but i quit...pick a QUIT day...stick to it...u may need to taper more slowly like 1/2 pilll every day or 2...or even longer...long tapers can be bad if a person loses motivation during the taper...but u have to do something u can live with...slow it down a bit...it is better than giving up...or just CT and get it over with...u gotta be ready and really want this...psyche ur self up....u gotta believe u CAN do this
Thanks you all for your support. I am going to try my hardest.
I agree with R2R, even if you have to keep it at 6 for a couple of more days then do that!! Once you're comfortable with 6 then go down to 5 for a couple of days and then take the jump to 4. Anytime you taper it's important that you don't drop down too fast otherwise you will end up in early w/d's.
YOU CAN DO THIS!! Keep a positive attitude and keep reading the forum and posting. If it hadn't been for this forum I wouldn't be clean today because everyone on here completely understands and they're more than willing to share their experiences and that's so important when we are going through this stage of coming off of the opiates. I can honestly say that getting clean was the hardest thing I ever did, but I have my life back and it feels great. Give it some time and you will be clean and living life once again!!
YES YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!...if you have to stay at 6 then do that for a little while...We are here for you...Please , this poison will kill you...
hugs
