just one pill

two weeks now off of hydrocodones. I have this huge headache and nothing is helping. I have a pill, I know it will help my head, will that mess everything up?

Please don't do it!! Just one pill is one to many, and a thousand pills are never enough! Excedrin does work good like the other posters have said. You are doing awesome, would hate to see you take a step back by taking that pill. I know that's prob. Not what you want to here right now, I think you should get rid of it, otherwise it will be calling your name & sometimes the mind is a funny thing your headache might even go away if you flush that pill.  Just hang in there & congrats on the 2 weeks!

That's always the hardest question to ask yourself..one pill is it really going to do anything but then that one pill can just take you back on the path of darkness, believe me I know how hard it is, you just have to remind yourself why you stopped..what made you stop, what were you're reasons, and just rethink them in you're head over and over again. Believe me I know it sounds pretty dumb but that's one of the things I have to do to not take that "one" pill to get through a headache or anything. Stay strong, I believe you know the right thing to do.

DO NOT TAKE IT!!! Just one will ruin everything you worked so hard for.   You have been clean for 2 weeks, just one pill, will screw it all up for you.  I am speaking from experience, and all the withdrawals will come back yet again.  Stay strong and good luck to you.

That's how it was when I was drinking, I'd go into a bar for one or two and that's about the time I'd get out of there. There's one thing I heard since I was a pup. Time heals all wounds. Also, narcotics never really helped my headaches, although trying to stay off them also gives me one. I've had one of those pressure headaches I think over a month now. The excedrin for me also had been the best for a "normal" headache. Are you in the South where pollens starting to come out? Could be an allergy. I've used clariton non drousy for sinus and allergy headaches. Depends on what's causing it? It's probably exactly what you think it is and it will go away. Congrats on your clean energy!

Every single time I was in the exact same situation as you (over 7 times now) I told myself just one. Am I really meant it. But something happens when you do take it. I cannot explain it but it always leads back to more an more. ALWAYS. Cannot explain it for the life of me. And this is freshly after total devastating WD and everything. It does not matter at all. One pill ALWAYS ends up in another WD. I know what you are saying 100% ! I told my self that every time. Just one, no problem. Just dont do it. Flush it. Trust me.

I know how hard this is - and this is hard for me to say, but I think you know the answer to that question or you probably wouldn't have come here to ask.  Do you have any excedrin in the house?  Those work really well for my headaches maybe they would for you too?

Hang on - and congratulate yourself for those two weeks.  That is something to be so proud of!  :)
