try some brisk walking or exercise upon waking.....this will jump start your metabolism first thing and help w/energy levels. Lack of energy, fatigue, malaise, are the biggest obstacles and causes for relapse. Don't give up or give in, the human body is a miracle in itself and WILL repair. Aminos are good, banannas altho they have potassium (restless leg helper) have tryptophan,,,make you sleepy...eat your bananas at nite.:) B-complex, b complete, all b's will help w/energy but don't overdoit cuz b/vitamis store in the fat cells and you can take too much. I don't advise anti depressants often but maybe you need a 6 month round of celexa or something fairly mild to get that serotonin back up to normal levels.
There is one multi called Amino Fuel that has about everything. At GNC I believe.... just check the labels - you want the SaMe or 5HTP, theanine, arginine, DHEA, tyrosine - at the very least ...............and a good multi vitamin along with B-Complex...

I am willing to bet that you arent doing the Amino Acid Protocols? Some will help with the energy, others with the cloudy head. We treat our bodies pretty hard when we use the narc's - we need to replace some things and give our bodies the resources to repair themselves.
Well i think in general, everyone is tired when they wake up. so you must be fueling up in the morning and you are getting the energy from it. Also the nite before, what you eat is important. it determines how you are going to feel in the morning. if you are eating a dinner that is high in fats or seafood that are bottom feeders. like shrimp,lobster, crab - all these will make you feel sluggish in the morning. some good complex carbos will make you feel better.
