R u sure u should be working?  u have alot on ur plate..3 heart surgeries is alot..disability would be an almost sure thing..but then again if u r the breadwinner/disability isnt a whole lot

Addiction doesnt help matters tho..it seems as if u realize this..why cant ur wife work?  if she is physically incapable of working, perhaps she could look at disability...just thinkin this is alot for someone with a bad heart..nrg is low after heart surgery/specially 3...u need to ponder the fact that if u reach the point where u can not work..what will happen to everyone in this picture?

Talking with ur dr is sumpin u need to do as stated above...is one dr rx-ing u all of these pain meds?..if not then u may need to evaluate this as 2 different drs rx-ing narcotics is often a reason for investigation these days..if u have only one dr//or more//u need to share these concerns..perhaps not so intense//only express the fact that u no longer want narcotics in ur life

Addiction increases stress levels//stress aggravates pain..specially heart problems...it mqay well be that ur efforts to relieve pain are only making ur pain worse...i finally figured this out///but we r all different..if the pain pills are becoming just another stressor vs pain relief..then it may be time to let go

keep posting..there is so much support here..pm me if u need any hekp..read the health pages and learn..often understanding is the key to freedom

Let your doctor know you are now addicted to the meds. I know its scary and at first its going to seem make the depression and pain worse but trust me with clean time you will feel so much better.  This can be the first step in recovery ....
