lorcets weaning off

Please forgive me i am new at this , any way i have been taking lorcets and hydrocodine for about 2 1/2 years , and i want to wean my self off them... I have tried to quit before and did for about 2weeks cold turkey amd like to have killed me!!! So i was wondering if you guys could tell me how much to take to wean my self off slowly?????

well i have knocked it down to 3 or 4 a day now , but it was like 7 to 8 a day .....
