lorezapam

Ok so i had anxiety and i went to the doctor he gave me .5MG of lorezapam and i took it for about 75 days well i started feleing worse on it or like i needed to stop cuz i felt like i needed to take two a day to reach the same affect i didnt want to do this, also my doctor prescribed these drugs and i fee like hes an idiot, everywhere i read it says dont take for longer then 1 month and its highly addictive, I decided after having migraines to go cold turkey now im reading thats the worst thing i can do, but its been 2-3 days cold turkey im still getting the migraines, I now dont know if i should start again or if that would shock my system evern more, it was a high dose at all or a long time compared to others, but either way how long will i feel even more anxious and these migraines. Should i try and tamper now or is it too late ive decided to go cold turkey

yes i have been eating well in the sense as full meals, ok i had terrible anxiety when i stopped them and now the anxiety has gotten better i went on a date and felt hot and like a panic attack it went away and came back but not full force, yea its not like a migraine, but is it possible that anxiety are causing this. yes i called my doc on friday and he told me its fine to stop. or if i want to takje half of one, but i dont want to take them anymore. I want to know can high blood pressure be causing my headache. I took my blood pressure 5 times in last four months and it ranges from 130-160 i am told i should have it around 120-130 for someone my age only 28 and also work out im athletic.ANyone know any good natural things i can take for anxiety or even for my blood pressure.

Hey Lance I think your concerns about addiction and withdrawal are making your anxiety even worse. Benzos can be safety taken up to three months before your body becomes dependent. After that it is considered long term. It is great that you recognized that it was becoming a habit before the 90 day mark. If you do experience w/d I think it should be mild. Since you said you had the headaches before you stopped taking them I don't think they are related to w/d. Are you having trouble sleeping?  Are you eating well? Does your doctor know you stopped?
I don't think you should go back on them now. Try to relax and take each day as it comes. Let us know how your feeling. Stay positive.

Hi & Welcome to our Community.

It seems to be real slow right now so keep checking your post as we come & go.

Well, speaking from my own experience, I do think you were on it too long. Although, any type of Benzo should be cut back slowly. If you have 2 days in already then you might just be fine. One thing about these types of meds is that they are known to cause more Anxiety when used for a long period of time. WHAT does concern me is your Migraines.
Stopping any kind of mind-altering substance will usually cause some type of anxiety/anxiousness, or even a small headaches for a short time.
I would go and talk with the DR about those migraines again. OK?

Keep Checking your Post as you will get more people in with there own experiences.
I sure wish you the best & that you can get those migraines under control.
Bless
Vickie
