If you go to work, you won't have to lie about being sick. If you can handle it, then no problem, if not, they will send you home saying, "Poor guy has a bad bug." I think you have to rap your mind around this as to avoid all this anxiety. Anticipation is usually worse than reality. I still believe that, even if you lose your job, it will be worth it. Jobs can be replaced, but you only get this one life. The cosmos seems to be saying, "Lets do this thing." Try to relax as much as you can. Good luck.
Try to relax! You are making it worse with your mind! The more you anticipate it, the worse it will be! Try to take your mind off of it and make sure you are prepared! Get everything done in advance that you can! It will be ok, keep posting for support!
I'm so freaked out right now. God please help me
I was at nearly the same amount as you are! You can do it! Like I said, day 1 & 2 were OK, and I could have worked if I had to! Good luck!
Thank you all so much. I'm just so dmscared because of the level I was at. Nywhere from 200-400 mg oxy per day. I don't know if I can handle this!!!!
I do not want to add to your anxiety, but for me it come to this:
Detox now. People get the flu, you will have the bad flu for a few days. You cannot control getting sick, so why now get clean now? Then you can be free from anxiety like this, and those chains. Just a thought, good luck.

Try not to worry or anticipate too much! For me, I still felt OK on days 1 and 2! I certainly could have worked if I had to! It wasn't until day 3 that I felt really bad! This may be a blessing in disguise as it will force you to just get it done! Take care, and yes get Thomas Recipe supplies to help along the way! Keep posting for encouragement and support!
you may feel miserable, but you CAN get through work if you must be there. And then by next weekend you will be feeling much better already. Now, I know that is easier said then done. And like it was stated above, no one will really know, it is just like the flu. I hope you can get the day off, (especially if you work in a job where you have to deal with people, ugh), but if not, you will be ok. Making the decision to quit is harder than the actual withdrawals. You can do this!
My quiting started as yours by running out and i truly believe that is the only way it can start. I freaked out but when the time came and the drug was not acting i accepted the feelings and the condition that i was in and just made it through. Just dont panic and accept you dont have any and remember you were going to do this anyway. It might not be as bad as you think. Mine was a flu like symtom. Just look at it like you have a cold. Get you mind set right and check out the Thomas recipe for things that will give you energy. You had to do this anyway. keep posting as will help to share what you are going through.
Stay calm, Worse case , you have to blow off work right? Your life is with that. Not trying to make light of a very real issue, but getting well trumps work, marriage, jail, rehab...etc. If your too ill to work, now may be the time to fess up that your pain regiment is not agreeing with you. Don't freak...it is what it is and will get you where you need to be. Hoping you feel well, but ya need to get a plan "B" just in case. Strength and peace headed your way.
