Help with vicodin addiction

Hello, I am new here. I have been taking 50mg of vicodin a day for about 9 months. I want off this nightmare of a roller coaster ride and I no longer have the option to get more, so the time has come. Is 50mg a day a lot or a big addiction? Just wondering what to expect. I know if I didn't have any for a day or two I'm on the toilet and miserable until I get more. How bad will this be? What can I do to get through this? Any advice is appreciated.

The last two I took were yesterday at 2pm. Haven't started feeling bad yet but I know it's coming. Wondering how long it will last at that dosage? I thought it was a lot but after reading some other's posts it seems small lol

Welcome.....glad your here....
If you are ready then this is totally doable. If you've run out before then you kind of know what to expect...fluish type pains, 5/6 days of physical issues. But i do feel if you stop now, at 50 mg, you will have a great chance of nit letting this addiction any worse. Dont wait....w/d now and just get it done and over with. Tired of waking up in the a.m. worried about if u have enough for today or tomorrow???
