Day 7

Well, I made it to day 7 and have remained clean!  I cannot believe I have been clean for an entire week!!!!  So happy!  It is getting better and better everyday.  However, I do still have cravings and with having to hear my husband on the phone callng around to find him some Hydro is hard to deal with!  He claims he needs them for his back pain and I only needed them to get high.  He is telling the truth about me just wanting to get high, but with me trying to quit and him having them around is very hard for the cravings to stop.  He hides them from me, but I can find them if I wanted to.   That is going to be the hard part - giving in to the cravings and then end up finding his stash.  I don't want them in the house at all, but when I ask him to please do not buy anymore, he just tells me he HAS to have them for his back pain.  So...it's extra hard to stay clean!  I am hoping that I can do it because I do not want to go down that path again!  Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?  I love my husband, but I cannot make him stop just because I chose to.  What do I do here?  HELP!

I just took a hot shower & took a Xanax - about to go to sleep!  I have one more sub for tomorrow, but calling the doctor in the morning!  Thanks for being here for me!!  XOXO

I posted the same thing I guess she didn't see it.I hope she reads yours because that will really take the urge away knowing you won't get any higher by taking the hydrocodone.

Did you stop the subs? You won't feel a thing taking the hydros so don't bother! For real, I tried it at the beginning and it was a waste! Come on you can do this!!! 7 days!!! Don't do it!!

I'm craving pain killers sooo bad right now you guys!!!  I want to take some!  I thought this feeling would go away by now!!  I just want to give into it!!!  I need serious help!!!  I hate this feeling!!!!

Ask him to please respect you and not talk about or bring pills around you. Maybe if he sees your progress he will be inclined to quit. This is a very touchy subject for you both. It may not be evident now, but the pills will probably lead to more problems in the future between you two. Awesome on 7 days, it gets better from here no doubt.

Congratulations on your 7 clean days.
How are you feeling? Did you stop taking the subs?
Sounds like your husband is still in denial. If he is buying them off the streets that is definitely addict behavior.
You need to focus on you and your recovery. Yes it will be hard to be around the pills. You are to be determiined to stay clean.
Are you considering any counseling or support groups?
Exercise will help increase your own natural endrophins.
Be strong.stay focused. Keep the faith.

I have a similiar problem in that my sister is my best friend and she is on lots of pills. Thankfully they are not in my house but she offers me pills and thats how I relapsed. I will ask her to not do this and she wont for a while but I still watch her take them.  Within a short while she will be offering again when she sees me with a headache (often have them) or any thing wrong at all.  The normal thing to do is to take a over the counter med or see your doc for a non-narcotic solution but she just goes to the strong stuff. Same as your husband.

I dont have any advice but just wanted you to know I hear you and understand your struggle.  At 7 days in you are my idol!!

Hi if it helps any I just wanted to let you know that even if you did take a hydro you would not feel it because the suboxone has you covered and hydro is not strong enough to knock it off of your receptors.
