methadone reduction

what would be a realistic reduction rate/time period for someone currently on 90 mg?  This is already a reduced dose.

Well I tapered from 105mg down to 4mg where I made the jump 17 days ago, in 9-10months. I started decreasing 5mg a week, and once I got to around 40mg, I decreased at 3mg a week- then 2 a week, and 1mg a week once I got below 20mg. This is what worked for me but everyone is different. Some can handle more at a faster rate, and some need to go slower. You need go just listen to your body! I can tell you that I didn't even feel my drops until around 40mg (with the exception of some headaches and lethargy).
Once you start getting lower in your dose and are feeling uncomfortable, check out the Thomas recipe. The vitamins that are suggested really helped me a lot!
But, I'd stay away from any benzo's. The w/d from them I hear can be just as bad.

Hi ...we cannot  give out taper plans on the forum it is agenst the rules...you should be able to tell the clinic to reduce your dose go by what the clinic recamends.
