i am thinking of quitting oxy an i am doing about 10 to 20 mg of oxy green a day or if yellow 20 mg i am thinking about doing a quarter of a red rocket a day just wonder ing if that would work has anyone tried my preferred drug is oxy

Good luck with things. getting clean is a process, but it is well worth it.

Any drug that lasts longer is harder to quit from. Either quit cold turkey or taper off maybe a pill every few days. When you get down to 3-4 pills per day go to 1/2s then 1/4s.
Never chew, snort or take more than 1 pill at a time!

i di oxy and way more than that.  i quit cold turkey and it was the best thing i have ever done.  i have 99 days clean today and i am going strnger and better than i ever have.  hunker down and stay connected to this site...you can do it and we will help you.  but, you gotta be committed and want to be clean above using. good luck

A milligram of oxy is a mil of oxy no matter what - only formulary change is from immediate release to time release structure. What strength is a red rocket? Familiar with oxy;'s but not nicknames. And yes, tapering plans can work - you can even have someone on the forum structure one for you. And you can be guided through w/d's in most comfortable manner possible. But you gotta want to do it. Taper slowly (you arent taking that much really) and when you start dividing the tens up just stop after that....and dont think you can get one more buzz before quiting....doesnt work that way. yes im trying to quit its just that they say that morphine lastes longer and it is alot cheaper as i have no choice

You dont need to substitue one for the other.  You will end up with two problems instead of one.
