need some encouragement

k guys jason and i decided not to do the methadone afterall. We're 5 days clean! The last 2 days we've been unbelivabley tired, sleepy actually. the onlly problem today is that i started my period and i'm going through some extreme pain . This is the first time ive had to go through my period without any oxycontin. i'm so ready to make that call for delivery. Help!!

sometimes when u look back u see things happened for the best...the psych doc was a witch it sounds...but in the long run u r better off by a weird circumstance...Someone was looking out for u..hang in there

Way to go Beaten Hanging tough...  Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with a psychiatrist I myself credit mine for helping me to save myself She sounds like she was in it for the money or to be right Their not all like that. I'm wishing you both well and many day's of happiness.
P.S. my psychiatrist never asked for a script or for me to quit drinking that is my choice He was a guide and a ear not my keeper...

thanks guys. holy **** no its so not ******* fair. why do we women  have to endure this bitching pain once a month. i'm so pissed off right now. but thanks for the words of encouragement. as for the midol that never ever did a thing for me even when i was a teenager. today i took 3 ibprofen and two advil. i'm finnally finnally feeling a little better. I'm actually really happy that we didn't go the methadone route either. The psychiatrist that was trying to get us in for methadone was quite rude to us. Our family doctor prescribed Clonodine for us. When we had our appt with the psych. we told her we were prescribed clonodine. She accused us of doctor shopping, she called us liars, in which i began to cry she had absolutly no sympathy. she was a complete cold hearted *****. she told us that unless we handed over the prescription she would no longer help us. ugh...we walked out completlky amazed. so we're handling it  on our own and with the support of u all.

i ttoally understand what u r saying i have been on oxys for a few years now and i always have relied on it for my period. im currently trying to taper and i had my period a week ago. let me tell u it was rough not having the amount of oxy im used to. but i took some midol and some aspirin and i was fine. it is a lot mental u just have to knmow that people deal with cramps and period all the time wihtout pain pills like this so you can do it good luck!

Congratulations on the 5 day's Please don't throw away all you have endured for something that is going too happen to you once a month and you have to look at it for your boy friend as you are in this battle together, he is not going to have a period once a month why would you want him to give up his clean time for something that you are going through. Hang tough for the both of you..Keep your eye on the prize Love is wonderful when viewed with a clean mind and a light heart...

Everyone else has given you excellent advice but I wanted to chime in and say please continue to say NO!! You're almost over the hump and I know you don't want to start over again with w/d's.

You can do this ,you are almost over the hump from the WD . I would ask your doctor there is a drug out now for period pain .I hear it works very well your doctor should know what it is . lean on each other and all of us to get threw this .....

Hang in there and keep saying NO! The more you say no, the stronger you will become. The farther along you get in your recovery, the better you will be able to handle the pains. Right now your body is screaming at you to get the pills. The body is actually amplifying the pain to make you get the pills. This slowly goes away as you have more clean time.
You can do this! Be Strong!

I can tell you, that would have been the wrong way to go. I have been on the methadone. I believe it is not for the pill poper! Your doing so good, Don't look back now, hang it there..

i know we haven't talked before...i don't know much about methadone...but i would like to offer my support and tell you i am glad you are getting clean! for the period i TOTALLY understand the pain...maybe ibuprofen and heating pads.... you will have this every month so might as well deal with it now right?

beaten, dont do that.  you have to deal with lifes aches and pains everyday....without oxy.  take some midol...and a tylenol pm or 2 and sleep through it.  i am so glad you did not go the methadone way.  be strong.  tell jason to tell you NO WAY when you wanna make that call.  he needs to be strong too.  you know i love ya girl, i would not steer ya the wrong way.  i am happy you are 5 days clean too.
