I think we're all aware here that pharmacies plaster bright colored stickers that say," DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION WHILE OPERATING HEAVY MACHINERY" on vials of pain pills.  You must've been REALLY bored when you decided to post this.

NO it isn't safe.  Not only could you hurt or kill yourself but you could hurt or kill somebody else.  I was on a jobsite where a Lull driver ran into a scaffold.  The scaffold collapsed and about 15 workers fell and got injured.  One guy had a broken neck.  Turns out the guy was poppin pills for a bad back.

Do you have a rx?  if not and you get hurt or have accident at work they will most likely drug test you and if an opiate comes up and you do not have rx you are out a job.  Please be careful.  But  also agree with the above that it is not safe.

some get drowsy from narcotics
