doesn't sound like a good idea.
have you tried to wean off of them?
that is the least painful way i know of. and i did.
from what i have heard the methadone is a dead end road. and more hell than the pills.

I agree with Kim on this, in fact I am at a month off of methodone, after being switched to it by my dr. from opiates, & I have sufferred horribly & I am just now starting to feel like I may be getting better, but still have PAWS, headaches, & no energy afte a month off of the med. Horrible stuff!!

Kim will fill you in with some good suggestions ......... the average Physician cannot maintain an addict on methadone.... he can prescribe it for pain ... but not for opiate use.....

Why are you looking to get on methadone my friend? Can you share a little more about whats going on? I was on methadone for over a year, before that my DOC was vicodin. If I had it to do over again I would not have chosen the methadone route. Not saying it can't help some people.Just wish I would have been more informed about what I was getting myself into.Whats your DOC[drug of choice]? How long have you been using and how much?
