ok... I'm definately in the closet about this whole addiction thing. I'm also due with my little boy June 29th.  NO ONE KNOWS! I buy them and say they are for others. I'm trying my hardest to quit! My mystake is I have heard that docters would give them to pregnant women at times if they are injured. So at first I figured that everything was safe...I know it can't be now. Not at the levels I have been taking 6 to 8 Norco's a day. I never became addicted until after the pregnancy. They became my crutch for discomfort. Now I can't sleep, I feel antsy, I'm moody and I start to feel like if I quit cold turkey I will send the baby into withdrawls. Can anyone help me with suggestions on how to quit and shake some of the withdrawls! Please!

Please consult a professional about this.  I know it is difficult and you feel you may be judged by others, but there may be something that can be done for the baby.  My nephew's g/f is pregnant and they have her hospitalized to aggressively treat her w/d's because the harm it can do to the baby.  I know I took muscle relaxers for a while during my second pregnancy and when my baby was born she lacked muscle tone.  She was okay after a few hours, but really had me scared.

Get help now for yoursefl and your baby.  I heard my youngest the other day saying something about when Mommie was always "sleeping".  I missed out on so much, I don't want that for you.

I agree with worried,it's probably in your best interest as well as your babies to make sure your doctor knows whats going on.Hang in there and stay strong  and keep posting more members will come along who will have some answers for you. Peace.

There is an article on tapering in the health pages...being pregnant and all u really need to talk to ur doctor about it and let him know so all will go well...there is a ob/gyn nurse...goingtomakeit can contact her

I am in the same boat with tramadol and only got pg a few weeks ago and I want to nip this in the bud asap I know how hard it is.  Have you tried to taper off?
