I hear similar stories from time to time and I still find it difficult to believe that a doctor could be so ignorant and uninformed.
Don't do it. Find a better way. And may I suggest staying off trampolines :) :)
get rid of them.....it will start the cravings again at this point...it is too soon to even try a narcotic for pain unless u simply can not survive the pain...and even then i would think twice
Yeah percs are strong you waling a thin line be very, very careful
This doctor is simply not being honest with you at all. Percosets have oxycodone in them which is a heavy duty opiate. Now he did put you on the lowest strength available for those but they're highly addictive and they will effect your receptors in your brain the same way that methadone did. IF you can find another way, like the patches mentioned above, then please do anything else but don't take these pills unless you have no other options.
I think that you are right to be skeptical ... they both affect opiate receptors in the brain and methadone sticks around so long that you arent even totally clean yet - the PAWS from methadone can be present for a long ttime.....I had good luck with back pain using lidoderm transdermal patches - they release a small amount of lidocaine (stuff dentist numbs you with) and have worked well for me...and not narcotic....good luck
