I agree.   At almost 15 pills a day for a year, 10 isn't enough to do any sort of meaningful taper.  Just gonna have to jump.

W/D's suck....but that's the price you pay in order to get off these drugs.  We all have to go through it.

There are things you can take to help, but basically it is just YOU having what seems like a bad, bad stomach virus...along with insomnia and RLS.   It lasts about 1-4 weeks, depending on the person.   After that you're going to be shaky for a couple of months, but you're getting healthier BIG TiM.

When I went off 8 years of oxycodone daily,   I basically told my family I was going to be quite sick for a while.  They understood, took care of me, supported my decision and counted my days...

If you were taking up to 15 a day, then no 10 isn't going to be enough to wean on. You'll be in close to full blown w/d's even if you only take a couple a day. So ya I'd say just quit get through the rough physical part which can last around a week and be done. You will deff have some anxiety and depression after taking 15 a day for a year though. So agree with pillguy an aftercare plan would be a good idea.

The site doesn't allow the posting of taper schedules.  Many here would say just quit.  I think you could reduce your withdrawal symptoms by starting with a couple per day. Then one a day then 1/2.  You should be able to decide how to spread these out.  Decide on a plan and stick to it.   It would be much better if you had someone to dole out your remaining pills.   You are not going to feel good, just less bad.  There are various suppliments people have used with varying degrees of success.  No matter what you do, you need to want off the pills more than you want to feel good.  Even after you get through the initial withdrawal symptoms you will most likely have cravings for the drug.  Go to NA/AA meetings or an out patient program or all of the above.
Keep posting here.  Most of us have been there done that and would be happy to help guide you along your way to sobriety.  It's hard work to get clean, and it's totally worth it!
