Yeah, basically. Spread them out and only take halves at a time. Don't break the schedule you set for each day, no matter what. And I gotta agree with James^. Distract yourself. As hard as it is to go out in public when you feel like ****, go out for a walk. Meet friends for a movie. Go to the library. Anywhere that can keep your mind focused on something else.

W/Ds are not nice but very doable. Try and do things to change the thoughts of W/Ds music film anything to change your mind as it can be  very helpful as long as you have your mind in the positive places keep negative thought out of your head. I have just stopped a 14 year heroin addiction and have 90 clean days So my best wishes and a lil prayer for ya. You can do this But you must keep positive Good luck ,,,,,,James

I used to take a lot of pain pills, and I'd be lying if I said that the Wd's didn't suck.. I couldn't handle it the first time. But, like you, I really wanted to quit. One thing you can try doing is write down how much you take on average per day, and keep track of when your habitual dosing times are. Like smoking a cigarette as soon as you start your car, habit plays a role in addiction. Using these notes, try portioning your pills so that instead of, say, one pill every three hours (approx 5 pills a day), try taking half a pill every hour and a half; start decreasing intake every day, so that by day two you're at half a pill every two hours, then the next day two and a half, etc.
The last days are the hardest to deal with because you psych yourself out, but it's actually really easy to just trash em once you get there, 'cause it's, like, "seriously I NEED to take half of one pill everyday?" It's almost like it gives you that extra boost of determination.
There are a lot of different methods to dealing with addictions and minimizing withdrawals (or at least making them easier to handle). For pain pills, this one worked best for me.
Let me know if you try it, and how it goes!
(:

Spend so time reading in here..Wd's are uncomfortable but not something to be feared..The first 3 days are rough with virtually identical symptoms to the flu, but let up after that..Energy goes way down, your mind keeps saying "I can't do tyhis" but thats where people fail..Read and read again. There are many many folks in their first few days, a couple weeks and a month, etc etc..I would tell you more but your about the 5th person today I have typed the same senerio for over and over..

Its not to be feard is the first thing one needs to get a grip on, and the second is prepping oneself for a few very uncomfortable days with the fact known that "it will pass"...Read some and post back with any questions you may have..It isn't hopeless and you can do it :) Dav
