i don't understand, free-ovitall... how the valerian root which is probed as a help for sleeping problems is a bad suggestion in your opinion and a few cups of strong black tea just before bed is a good idea...considering the caffeine it has ... yes, drinking tea as a source of L-theanine is a good suggestion but taken during the day... but just before bed a few cups of black tea ? several cups of green tea would be like a cup of coffee, a couple of black tea cups like a cup of coffee more or less....
Hi Chrisp.. Welcome to the forum. sorry to read about your eye. and Congrats on your quit.. they sell a product called Hylands restful leg our a knock off it helps tremendously with rls. as long a the product has quinine in it it will work you can pick it up at walmart our any other drug store. also walking helps to relive this for a time and helps with the wd.. I wish you the very best. lesa
Take a good quality multivitamin with b complex and especially b6, and 1000mg vitamin c. Take a magnesium and calcium supplement before bed. Then just before bed that hot bath or shower, and thiamine (amino acid supplement) or a few cups of strong green or black tea, which is a natural source of thiamine, about 22mg per cup. The calcium and magnesium help calm you, the thiamine helps you sleep.
The RLS should pass in a few days on it's own, you weren't taking very much oxycontin to cause anything more than mild wd symptoms, but the vitamins and tea/amino supplements should relieve them.
Long hot baths were the only thing that helped me...and time.
