WOW you are really strong!!!!
Good for you.
You all are amazing. Sobriety, if even for two months, is far more important than a little relief from 36 stitches. YES!!!! 36 STITCHES, and I'm sticking to the Motrin 800. I might hate myself for it in the morning... But, for the love of God - I am ALIVE!
Thanks so much! Congrats on getting your life back. I'm well over two months sober from nasty a$$ Percocet, and life couldn't be better, OR busier! Keep posting here everyone! This site WILL be your saving grace.
Huge props to you! I too contaminated the general water supply by flushing the rest of my meds this week! Here's to destroying the ocean and staying sober. lol
You are amazing!
Matt
That is amazing you flushed them! Go girl go!
OMG peaceinknowing you rock! I am weaning off morphin and choosing to live with severe back pain because I am sick of drugs and chasing the high. pain for me now equals freedom! You are my hero!
i suggest you get rid of them, not good to be tempted. I would just keep taken the motrin and deal with pain : ) okay nevermind just read were you flushed them ....GO YOU!!!!!
Well i see we have a end to this already!!! Good for you on flushing them. Just rest and take the Motrin. sara
Thanks so much for the kind words, Lesa!
I'm so proud of myself AND everyone else here on the forums!
I had my husband flush them down the toilet. I can live with the pain. And yes, we can definately be stubborn when we choose to be. HAHA! <3
Just read what you wrote.. Good On You and Good on Hubby.. I had stopped them the 3rd week after my shoulder replacement.. ouch ouch but I lived.. just try to stay comfortable rest and ice if it swells.. so very Proud of you.. Congrats on your recovery !!
Hi Peaceinknowing.. sorry to hear about your accident.. we are a stubborn lot are we not :) Just because we are addicts does not mean we can never take a pain med when needed.. But I agree with sara we have to have a plan.. Have hubby hold them for you.. since he works have him only leave what you will need ok. then when the pain is tolerable get rid of the rest.. I'm proud of you that you turned down the harder drugs and told them you are a addict in recovery.. see all Dr.s are not that bad :) Just really take care with them.. hugs lesa
My husband has had them in his posession since the doctor gave them to him when we were there at the hospital, so yes.. He would be in control of them. After I posted this, I shook my head. Even though the Motrin 800 isn't touching where there needs to be relief, I want to just do this without the medicine right now. Even if he doles them out to me, and even if they weren't my DOC, I have a bad feeling about this. I asked my husband to flush them down the toilet and he did.
I've been proud of myself over the past two months so much.. But not as much as I am right now. I can live with the pain, I suppose. I've lived with the ongoing issue with my back and leg and those have been hurtful at times as well. I'm still alive, and for that I am grateful.
Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you will recover quickly.
Now for the pain med situation......Will your husband hold them for you and dole them out as needed for the pain?? If he will have him lock them up where you cant get at them. Being in pain can really wear a person down. Please dont you be in charge of them no matter if they werent your DOC. You wont ever be over the pills cuz if you were you wouldnt be bothered by this. Pain meds were designed for this sort of thing.....pain. Just be careful..........sara
