still need help

I posted the other day about getting some kind of a taper plan but got no help because it's against  forum policy , so here I am still taking 8-10 pills a day and don't know what else to try. I have talked to my Dr. but he told because of all of the medical problems 4 knee surgeries, 2 herniated disc's and an upcoming knee replacement I'll probably be on some kind of pain killer the rest of my life, but I still want to taper off these pills myself, but don't want kill myself by tapering too quickly or to slowly.

Hi!  You are welcome to private message me, and I will be happy to share my experience, strength and hope doing my taper.  I am still doing my taper right now.  I will tell you it has been a long one for me so far.  I am sorry you haven't gotten any help.  My first posts were like that too.  This is a really bay time of the year to post.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Your current doctor has given you an opinion.   You can always seek another opinion elsewhere.   You say you take multiple pills daily but you don't say what the side effects and problems you're having from their use.
