i called a dr. yesterday that was listed on the suboxone website. he told me i had to taper down to 100 something mgs from 400-500 mgs of oxy before he can see me, I can wait anymore i want off this stuff. help me please

hey. im glad youre making this decision.i was on around 200mg a day sniffing them and it makes it so much harder when you are sniffing them. as you probably know that is half of the addiction for you, i know it was for me. i went off c/t from 200mg of oxycontin but it was the only way, if i had pills i would take them, tapering wasnt an option for me. if you do a taper though you need to stop sniffing them because with that rush you will never want to quit

plus i'm gonna keep callling other dr. on the list, i dont want to do the clinic, i can, but dont wanna. just wanna find a private dr.

You can do it. Just calling was pretty brave b/c I am not even that brave yet. I did look at the website though and saw the prices of just the consultation....but what I am spending now should be about the same anyway. Keep your head up...you can taper....you will do great be clean and have your life back!

i can always get more pills, thats the problem. i dont want anymore. been taking illegally/ abuseing sniffing mostly . i want off yesterday. i did send a note to avisg. thank you

Do you have enough pills to taper? If you do contact avisg and ask her to set up a taper schedule. You can do this. Don't lose hope. Are there other sub doctors that you can call?

sorry you are disappointed.  can you maybe to a quick taper?  avis is really good with taper schedules.  send her a note and see if she can help you. it may take a little longer than you thought.  but it will happen.  hang in there and dont give up.  you are about to be on the ROAD TO RECOVERY.  good luck to you and if i can help you at all let me know
