we can do this right? i have been addicted to herion for years. on and off but mostly on. i am asking for help and support to finally, and for the last time, kick this mess. i love this site. i have been offering words of supoprt and guidance to people i dont even know but i feel like im making real connections. also, im kinda having a slight problem navigating the site, where should i post general questions? what about chat rooms? anyone who can help me, wants to be my friend and confidante, please contact me. keep in touch because i plan on posting and journaling daily. thank you

Just wanted to say hello and welcome to the forum. There are many people here who have struggled with Heroin, Oxy's, Methadone and other various opiates who have gotten clean. You can beat this addiction, many people have before you, just as many will in the future. Its really about being prepared to do the work, stay dedicated and committed to getting your life back. Its always good if you can get into some sort of addiction specialist, inpatient recovery or some sort of support group to help you through these difficult times. I wish you all the best in your journey to sobriety, its hard work but very gratifying and rewarding in the end. Take care & Good luck.

We can definitly do this! It's something that eats away at us but we can win this war if we fight with everything we've got! Once we realize what we're throwing away it is hard to want to go back, now only if those withdrawals didn't suck so much! It's worth every bit of it, though, and when we look back on this later in life, we will be able to say we have conquered what some say is an impossible feat. Stay strong, do whatever it may take to heal yourself! We are all here for you, as recovering addicts, we want to help in any way possible. WE WILL DO THIS!
