Hey there,
Well, I SLEPT LAST NIGHT!!!!! woohoo!!! i woke up a few times, but went back to sleep immediatly, i feel a bit sedated, like you. i've already noticed a difference in my anxiety level. this is weird, but i'm excited in a way, excited for a new life. the only thing is to NOT go to the pharmacy, i still have several refills left on my ultram and can go get it at any time, i feel i'm doing really well, and i've made it this far, i'd be a fool to screw it all up now, but i still crave it, and ya know, i wasn't even feeling that high on it, it was more to not go into withdrawls and to have the energy and confidence i needed to do normal daily activities. sucks!! i wish it wasn't so easy for me to get my hands on, makes it difficult to resist. i'm curious, did you seek professional treatment? do you get counseling on a regular basis? and thanks for the kind words, i appreciate it:-)
You are doing great..The clonidine helped me out alot. The first few days I was a little sluuggish and had that noodle leg feel which helped the RLS big time.
I am 2 weeks being off the little white devils (Vikes). I am now at the point where I do not even need the clonidine.
You will be fine. Keep up the good work!

There is a possibility of feeling sluggish...i am like u and can not stand the lack of energy...the clonidine does have a side effect of drowsiness which some welcome during detox if u r having problems sleeping...it will relax the blood vessels there by lowering your blood pressure but it will also have a calming effect...many blood pressure patients are not compliant with their meds for this reason...but this is just for a few days or until u do not have the symptoms anymore...I have never used it but give it to patients for high blood pressure at times...keep a check on your blood pressure...I am sure your doctor wrote for a dose suitable for you...keep posting
thanks for the response, i really didn't know what i was in store for, how long this would go on. so you say 11 days, huh? so i have another week or so to go.... well, hopefully these meds will help me sleep and i'll def try vitamins,, i have been drinking tons of water. a lot of people say exercise, it helps a lot, but i'm just so unmotivated rigt now, i don't even have the energy to keep my house clean. i guess i need to just give it more time. thanks again...
thank you so much for responding, i really do appreciate it. i was worried about the Clonidine bc i'm already unmotivated and have no energy, i am afraid it will be sedating and i don't really want that, however, i want my sleep and i will try it for now. he did not prescribe an anti-depressant, i saw him today and have another appointment on 4-18 so until then i'll just take as prescribed and hope they work!! i just don't want to be a zombie anymore. thanks for the advice.
i just went through this whole thing 33 days ago today im feeling good but my past times i went 2-3 months without taking um but never felt beter this time when i quit i got on a anti depresent i feel noram now the first 11 days were hell though but now every day i get up i feeel alot beter i started feelin noraml again about 20 days clean
you dont havta go on ssris theres tons of viatamins and amino acids that will help out
i drank alot of viatimin water drank no pop ect and took a good multi viatmin
i know these first days feel like months but it gets alot beter thats somthing i didnt believe but now that im here i can re asure you
anyways good luck you can do it it feels alot beter
Oh....drinking is a depressent so i would be careful with alcohol for now,,,not saying that u do just I drink as well but when i am low it can make your mood lower...i would have a glass of wine each night during detox and it helped to calm me....too much serves to bring you down when u r feeling low
Can you pm avisg? she has experience with ultrams and i do know u r supposed to taper that drug...but if you have been CT for 3 days i dont think that would apply...ultram has anti-depressent qualities that the other narcotics do not have...so depression is more severe after quitting...bentyl would take the place of immodium and the clonidine helps with the tummy as well, plus the anxiety and sleep, shakes etc....often used to help with wds and those who have used it have liked it that i have read....do keep a check on your blood pressure while u r on the clonidine...if u do not have a cuff...go to the drugstore and check it....Did he prescribe an anti-depressent for u? 5htp, SAMe and the amino acid protocol found in the health pages can help with this...keep posting and I hope I did not over whelm you!
Hi there to you,
Dosage 50mg, i was taking 6 consistently every day, but some days i would take more. not as bad as some of these 20-30 i've seen. and like i said, i went 'cold turkey' saturday - i'm just determined. i'm sick of my entire life revolving around these stupid pills!!! i'm lying to everyone, i'm using different doctors to get them, i'm paranoid all the time that they're 'on to me', the anxiety towards the end of the bottle is rediculous. i'm sick of being unhealthy, i feel like i'm over the hump. am i wrong?? but what i'm really scared about is the lack of motivation and the depression/anxiety feelings.
thanks
Hi there,
My first question is how much Ultram were you taking and are you completely off of it now?
Thanks
Charlie
Hi Ramar,
I'm not really familiar with Ultram but I got the irritability, anxiety and depression from vicodin. If you look in the Health Pages on the right side of the page, look at FLaddict's Amino Acid Protocol. It has a ton of great information. If you have any questions, send her a message and ask, she's great!
If you have questions about Ultram withdrawals and how long they last, you can send a message to avisg. She is just wonderful and will be able to help you.
Good luck!
