vicodin rehab

Hi-- I just learned that my husband is addicted to vicodin. He is ready to get help. We live in California and don't have health insurance. We've called a few programs and are waiting to hear from them. I need advice please.

Welcome to the forum. There is lots of good info and support here.
He can go ct(cold turkey) or taper. Ct take about 5-7 days for the worst part and he'll need a week off work if he can get it. If he tapers...he can still work. It takes longer but the wds are milder. Either way he will have wds.

How much does he take? Dose,# of pills, and how many times per day?

He can also try suboxone.

Let us know wha the wants to do.

Agree with the Bossman........there are many that have overcome addiction to this drug. There are cheaper options, like cold turkey, where he stops at once, or tapering, where he cuts down on his dose gradually. He should come to the forum for sure!!! No judging, just wonderful people looking to each other for support and getting it!!

Vicodin can certainly be beaten without the expensive rehab.  Most on here have done it.  .....Just trying to give you positive alternative to the usual costly rehab.  If he's mentally ready Im sure he can do it without that.
