Pain pill withdrawal, and relapse

Hi all! about two months ago I started taking lortab/10. I was just taking them recreationally, and before I knew it after a few weeks I was taking around 8 a day. I did this for about 6 weeks then when I stopped I went thru the same withdrawals people on here talk about. I may not have had it enough to feel as bad as most, but it was enough to make me never want to go thru that. My question is this, if I where to take one more (have been off them two weeks) would I go thru all the same withdrawal? Thanks!

I agree completely, I dont have any and havnt taken another, but I read alot of threads on here and a guy had kept asking if that would happen so I was just asking a curious question. I am thankful I don't have any or I would probably take it, those withdrawals from just six weeks were insane. Took about 4 days to feel physically better, but the stomach issues lasted a while. nasty stuff. I feel great now not having that crap in my body. I dont understand how someone could handle the withdrawals after years of use, but I wish those people the best. What helped me was telling my family the truth to have someone to talk to. I just read a lot about people relapsing, so if someone had been on them for a long time, stopped, went thru withdrawals, and stayed clean a while, if they took one more would it cause them to go thru the miserable withdrawals again???? A large price to pay to feel good for a few hrs. Thanks!

Hmmm you stated "about two months ago I started taking lortab/10. I was just taking them recreationally, and before I knew it after a few weeks I was taking around 8 a day" Read your statement a few times, do you see a trend here??? You started taking a few of them and wound up taking 8/day. Why do you think things will be different this time. As a matter of fact they will probably get worse and this time you will suffer w/d hell!!!!! So I would think very carefully about putting that poison back into your body.

Hi and Welcome! Yikes you are playing with fire if you do that. Keep in mind the high you initially felt while taking them will go away,,you will keep chasing that high and never ever ever comes back. Before you know it you are taking 10+ pills a day. Your life will be sucked from you. This I promise. Yes you may experience mild w/d if you take one,,you have already seen that it sounds like. Please be careful OK~Bkitty

If the withdrawal was enough to make you never want to go through that again then why would you want to take another pill? You just want one? If only it worked that way but it doesn't. One will become two and two will become a hundred and you will be back here talking about your next detox.

You may want to take this time to find out why you think you need to get high to have a good time. You can find happiness within yourself but you won't find it in a bottle of pills.

I hope you realize what you are thinking about doing is a dead end and I hope you change your mind. Best of luck to you.
