Agreed - generally if your in good health withdrawal from opiates are not alone dangerous.  There is a whole plethora of symptoms you can experience.  Most people will experience some or all of the following:  Flu like symptoms, runny nose, generalized body aches, leg and arm pain, restless leg syndrome, headaches, diarreah, vomiting, fatigue, cold sweats, chronic goose bumps, depression and anxiety.  It can range from feeling like a mild flu to the worst flu ever to worse still, depending on amount of usage and time spent using.  Ususally the worst of the physical withdrawal is over between 5-7 days. Take care and let us know what your story is.  Its not all horrible.  Life clean is great and you can definitely make it through withdrawal.  Best of luck.

Generally speaking w/d's from opiates alone are not dangerous, but like sway said it does depend on your usage. There can be some spikes in blood pressure, dehydration from vomiting/diarehea, depression/anxiety and Im sure a few other serious issues. In my experience withdrawals are very mental, the more positive you are about recovery goes along way during any detox. If you give more specific information about the addiction, you should get a better idea of what to expect. Take Care!
