why did this happen ?

i smoked weed for the first time after a couple months . i was fine and feeling high and then i started feeling dizzy and when i started walking i feel and i think blacked out . my friend picked me up and brought me to the couch and then i ran to the bathroom and threw up i felt better but was still out of it i went home and slept for half an hour and then felt better , it wasn't laced and my friend didn't have any symptoms . my friend said i wasn't use to the "good dro"  . ? This has happened once before a long time ago and thats why i hadn't done it in so long . i thought the other time it could have been because i was dehydrated because i was out at the beach . but second time around changes my mind . i have smoked before without having any bad affects . but can anyone tell me why this happened .
thanks
no more smoking for me . :)

I have to agree with Making it . I don't know whats going on with the weed people are buying now but it certainly isn't 1980 ! I haven't smoked Marijuana in 25 years and my friend talked me into trying this new breed of weed saying it would be great for my anxiety I suffer from now and then . Boy what a mistake that was ! I took three puffs and he told me to just take one or two and I thought what is he talking about I used to smoke joint after joint with my friends back in 80 . Anyway after the 3rd puff I was fine and said wow ! maybe this will work and right about then this wave off paranoia came on like a ton of bricks ! I remember standing up and thinking God what have I done to myself . I was in Hell again . Marijuana is not the Marijuana of yesterday and I think it can be very dangerous in my humble opinion .  Try and find the joy in life without chemicals organic or not .  Peace Jimmy

Possibility: Heart rhythm changes are the most common causes of passing out. Should the heart beat too quickly, there may not be enough time for it to fill with blood in between each heart beat, which then decreases the amount of blood the heart can deliver to the body. Your circulation system couldn't carry the blood fast enough, especially to your brain. When you stood up - bingo.

I smoked lots of weed, quitting in 1982. I remember when I smoked really strong stuff my heart would race, my palms would sweat, I'd actually get chest pains - and at the time I was a10K runner in great shape! I'd get so high I'd just sit there like I was paralyzed. What fun!
