Sex after oxy

Well let me start by saying that I've been doing oxy's for about 3-4 years on a semi regular basis 1-3 every other day or maybe more or less, none the less I've been on em for awhile and I found an amazingly beautiful woman with a super high sex drive, which I also ( had ) a super high sex drive until I really started getting heavy into pills, so my question is how long do any of you think it will take me to get back into my groove, she is totally aware of the problem and is being very patient with me on this matter but its killing our relationship. Please help !!!!!

I think you'll start getting back in the "groove" once the pills are out of your system. All you have to do is flush the pills down the toilet. Then you go to the drugstore and get all your supplies for the Thomas Recipe at the bottom of this page. Once your there, get a couple big bags of empsom salts, Gatorade, Immodium, and then start the detoxing process. Are you ready to do that? As you see we need more info to be able to answer, I'll just offer my two cents, I quit oxy cold turkey early last Wednesday morning...and last night I was chasing my husband around begging. HA. I'm sure it's different for everyone and others on here have much more and better information for you than I do, but I have read that sex drive and libido returns with a vengeance after kicking the pills...and for me, that is definitely true. I really hope you get off of the pills once and for all and can thoroughly enjoy this new relationship, not just sexually, but mentally, physically, and emotionally!!
This site has been a Godsend for sure, we will all be here with you to help with the wd (they suck, won't lie) but even at a week I am feeling okay and can see why life is so much better without the control of the pills.

Oh hun, it took me a long time to fix my hair and put on make-up. I did not feel good about myself at all but my hormones were still going crazy!  And yes, having a 2 year old makes a huge difference!  I couldn't imagine going thru withdrawal with a 2 year old!  There is nothing with you at all!

It will get better I know I just need to give myself more time. And Yes withdrawling with a 2 year old made it so much worse, As I wanted to just lay around and I couldnt...  besides it wasn't his fault what mommy was going through!

For me, after about a month when the energy came back my drive came back ....definitely more so than when on opiates.  However, with kids, working, etc. my drive isn't that high (just ask my husband).:)  However, I will say for me that sex is way more enjoyable now that I am drug free!

My sex drive came back like 1000 times what it ever was before pills, about 2 days into detox....and here I am almost 2 months later and it still hasn't leveled out....it's still extremely high. I think it depends on the person. I will tell you that awhile back my husband was on oxys for a chronic back problem it they actually caused low testosterone in him...he had the blood test done for it.  Once he switched back to hydros his testosterone slowly increased again,  if you're dealing with a low testosterone issue from the oxys it might take a little while for ya to get back to normal.

seriously though, so I can't do my hair (thank God for pony tails!) and make-up is as scarce as I can get by with...I actually feel kinda terrible, BUT last night I felt like a nice breeze could've gotten me "there". So, although I felt like total doggie poo, I had the quickest, got right to it uh..."moment". So, not to get too graphic or rude, but have you tried? even if you're alone? sorry if I'm offending anyone!!!!! just saying you may be surprised on how quickly/easily things happen (which I've NEVER been like that). will say that surely released all of those goodies in my brain after that and I slept a solid 4 hours...which is tough in the first week of ct wd. Anyways, just a thought!

I went through not able to get enough, but no control over ejaculation. I then went through a phase of insecurity, then it balanced out. I don't know how long all that took, but I get until I my testicles shrivel up to enjoy sex again. No matter how long it was, it was really worth it. I definitely had to be sober for the process to start. I don't think I even thought of sex in detox, if I did, it was fleeting.

You guys are funny!  Hydro knocked my testosterone level in half in 3 years...then again, i'm 45.  It should only drop 1% a year after 30 (Mayo Clinic)...i just hastened it's downfall!

That said at day 16....no interest yet! That could be the 3 & 6 yr olds though.
