no....just prolonging the process....they are both opiates...you either have to taper or quit ct....if you were on a low dose for a month wds shouldn t be that bad for you...good luck to you....maria

it will not hold them at bay, its just replacing one opoite for another therefore doing nothing at all about the w/ding problem. It is going to be just the same as keeping taking what you are. It would be like tryng not to eat ice cream by eating chocolete ice cream instead...its doing nothing for your problem at all!!

Like jt808 said, it will keep them at bay but won't fix the long term problem. As whitie said, you haven't been on the percs long enough to cause to bad of withdrawals. If you start taking the norco you are just adding time to how long the opiates are in your body and in the long run you will end up having much worse withdrawals. I agree with just biting the bullet and stopping all together. Most addicts start off just by taking them for a month or so and plan on stopping all together "the next day". The problem is before we know it a year or more goes by and we are in deep. That so called "next day" never shows up until we realize we have a huge problem on our hands and have hurt ourselves, our family, our friends, and so many others along the way. So, do no take the norcos, and stop while you are ahead of the game. Come here for support as there are some wonderful people on here full of great advice! Best of luck!

and besides a low dose a little over a month you might not even w/d and if you do it be very light, just bite the bullet and get it done and consider this a glipse in the future of what this addiction can be...STAY AWAY!!

no it will not help. It will only prevent you from w/ding cause you are still taking the same drug, when you are out of the norcos you will start w/ding...Good Luck

I HATE to be the one to tell you this but you are just REPLACING one narcotic for another..

Trust me on this one... I was using Norco 10/325 at 8-10 a day x's 3 years ( for 2 back surgeries)  and I was REALLY GOOD for the first 2 years.. ya know.. using them as 'prescibed' BUT.. after 2 years I just couldn't get the RELIEVE I THOUGHT I needed.. so bumped it up.. Long story.. short... it didn't take me long to use up to 10 pills a day AND getting NO RELIEVE!

I now have 67 days CLEAN.. and although I still have my pain issues.. I have found that I am better able to handle them WITHOUT the use of Norco..

If ya REALLY wanna get CLEAN and SOBER you just have to either JUMP OFF and do it COLD TURKEY and/or taper.. BUT.. you mentioned that you were on a LOW DOSE of PERCOCET for a little over month.. Don't know "how low" that dose is but I DO KNOW that no matter how low it is... it WILL and does creep up on you... the LONGER you USE...

Just keep that in mind..

And.. please keep posting as this site is a LIFE SAVER.. to many!
